Finance & Asset Committee

The Finance and Asset Committee meet October, November, December, February and June) on the second Thursday of each month.

The main aims and objectives of the Finance and Asset Committee are:

  • To ensure that the Council has an accounting system which operates efficiently
  • To commission the preparation of an annual budget
  • To recommend a precept for approval by Full council
  • To commission ┬áreports of actual income and expenditure to Full Council and where possible, projected expenditure of any bodies, committees etc directly acting on behalf of the Council
  • To review the Council's liabilities and insurance
  • To promote the use of assets for the local community
  • To review and decide grant applications
